Maude's Chicken and Dumplings
Maude'S Chicken And Dumplings is an easy dinner. Made with 1 fryer, cooked and deboned, 2 qt. water, 1 c. self-rising flour, 2 tbsp. water and 1 egg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Boil and debone chicken, saving broth.
Set aside.
Mix flour, water and egg to make dough.
Spread on well floured surface and roll out very thin.
Slice into strips.
Bring broth back to boil and drop strips in one at a time.
Add chicken.
Cook about 10 to 15 minutes until dumplings are cooked tender.
You will need to make 2 to 3 recipes of dumplings to full 4-quart pot.
Add water as needed.
Salt and pepper to taste.
