Noodle Cheese Casserole
Noodle Cheese Casserole is an impressive dinner. Made with 3 qt. boiling water, 3 tsp. salt, 3 1/2 c. wide noodles, 1/4 c. minced onion and 1/4 c. minced green pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Break the noodles into 1 1/2-inch pieces; cook in the boiling, salted water until tender, about 10 minutes, stirring often.
Drain thoroughly.
Heat oven to 350Β°.
In saucepan, saute onion and green pepper in butter for about 3 minutes.
Stir in the flour and seasonings, then stir in the milk gradually and cook, stirring, until the sauce is smooth and thick.
Grease a 2-quart casserole. Turn the sauce into it.
Add noodles, cottage cheese and lemon juice; toss until well blended.
Sprinkle with paprika.
Bake, uncovered, for 40 to 50 minutes.
Serves 4 to 6.
