Oatmeal Molasses Cookies
Oatmeal Molasses Cookies is an impressive dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 6 minutes. Made with c. flour, c. flour (reserve), . salt, . soda and c. oats (quick), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Sift together the 8 cups flour, salt and soda.
Mix oatmeal, sugar and ginger.
Stir in melted shortening, molasses, eggs, water, sifted dry ingredients, nuts and raisins. Work dough by hand until well mixed. Add 1/2 cup flour if needed. Roll portions of dough to 1/4-inch thickness.
Cut with 3 1/2-inch cutter. Place on lightly greased sheets. Brush with water and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake at 375Β° for 8 to 10 minutes.
