Old Fashion Vanilla Ice Cream
Old Fashion Vanilla Ice Cream is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 3/4 c. sugar, 6 tbsp. flour, 1/2 tbsp. salt, 5 c. milk, scalded and 6 egg yolks, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Combine sugar, flour and salt in saucepan.
Stir in milk. Cook over low heat for about 10 minutes or until custard coats a spoon.
Stirring constantly, mix small amount of hot mixture into beaten egg yolks.
Add to hot mixture and cook 3 minutes longer. Add canned milk and vanilla.
Cool mixture and pour into freezer and freeze.
