Oven Barbecued Chicken
Oven Barbecued Chicken is an impressive grilled dish you can prepare in about 2 hours 14 minutes. Made with c. salad oil, (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) fryer, cut up, c. chopped onion, c. chopped celery and c. catsup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
In skillet, brown slowly salad oil, one fryer, cut up. Place in 12 x 8 inch baking dish.
To skillet, add onion and celery; cook until tender.
Add catsup, water, lemon juice, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and prepared mustard. Simmer 15 minutes and skim off excess fat.
Pour over chicken. Bake, uncovered, at for
/4 hours or until done, basting 3 or 4 times.
