Smoked Sausage Harvest Casserole
Smoked Sausage Harvest Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 tbsp. oleo or butter, 5 c. chopped green cabbage, 1 medium onion, cut into halves and sliced, 1 c. sliced carrots and 1 (15 1/2 oz.) can red beans, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Heat oven to 350Β°.
In Dutch oven, melt butter.
Add cabbage, onions and carrots.
Saute 5 minutes.
Stir in beans, tomatoes and vinegar.
Sprinkle cheese, flour and pepper over cabbage mixture. Spoon into greased 2-quart dish.
Cut sausage into serving pieces. Arrange on top of cabbage; push down partially.
Cover and bake for 40 minutes.
Serves 6.
