Grandma's Coffee Cake
Grandma'S Coffee Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 packet yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water, 1 c. milk, scalded (do not boil), 1 stick butter or margarine, 1/2 c. sugar and 2 eggs, beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Heat milk.
After it scalds, remove from heat and add sugar, salt and butter.
When cool, add yeast mixture, eggs and flour. Knead until soft and satiny.
Let rise until double size; shape into loaves or roll out dough and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll up like jelly roll.
Cut in 1/2-inch thick slices.
Place onto cookie sheet and allow time to rise until double size again.
Bake at 325Β° until brown.
Ice with your favorite icing.
