Mexican Hamburgers
Mexican Hamburgers is an easy dinner. Made with 2 2/3 to 3 lb. hamburger meat, 1 small can chopped green chilies, 1/2 jar picante sauce (choose mild or hot to your choice), 8 oz. block monterey jack cheese and salt and pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Divide hamburger meat into 16 thin patties.
Mix chilies and picante together to make sauce.
Cut cheese into thin slices and spread approximately 1 tablespoon of sauce mix (enough to cover area) on a meat patty staying approximately 1/2-inch from the edges.
Cover the sauce with one layer of cheese slices.
Top with second patty and crimp edges together to seal.
Continue process until all 8 burgers are assembled. Salt and pepper to taste and cook on outdoor grill.
