Parker House Rolls
Parker House Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. dry yeast, 3 tbsp. sugar, 1 3/4 tsp. salt, 4 tbsp. melted shortening and 3/4 c. lukewarm water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Soften yeast in cool milk.
Add salt, shortening, sugar and water.
Add flour a little at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.
Beat until smooth.
Cover with warm cloth and let rise until double in bulk.
Roll to about 1/3-inch thick.
Cut in rounds with small glass and put a little butter on.
Then fold over. Press edges together.
Put on well-oiled baking sheets.
Cover and let rise until triples bulk.
Bake at 350Β° for 15 to 20 minutes on high rack.
Makes quite a lot.
