Sunday Special Coffeecake
Sunday Special Coffeecake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. flour, 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 egg and 3/4 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Preheat oven to 375Β°.
Grease an 8 x 8-inch pan or a 9-inch round cake pan.
Combine flour with baking powder and salt and set aside.
In a medium bowl, beat egg until frothy, then beat in the 3/4 cup sugar and melted butter until well combined.
Add milk and vanilla and stir until blended.
With a wooden spoon, beat in flour mixture until well combined.
Pour into greased pan.
Sprinkle topping evenly over batter.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool partially, in pan, on a wire rack.
Cut into squares while still warm.
