Sweet-Sour Pork
Sweet-Sour Pork is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. pork steak, 1 (no. 2) can pineapple chunks, 1/4 c. brown sugar, 2 tbsp. cornstarch and 1/4 c. vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cut pork into 2 x 1/2-inch strips and brown in hot fat.
Add 1/2 cup water.
Cover and let simmer until tender.
Combine sugar and cornstarch; add to pineapple syrup, vinegar, soy sauce and salt.
Add to pork.
Cook and stir until gravy thickens.
Add pineapple chunks, green pepper strips and onions.
Cook 2 to 3 minutes.
Serve over hot rice and pass extra soy sauce.
