Barbecued Ribs
Barbecued Ribs is an impressive grilled dish you can prepare in about 1 hour 10 minutes. Made with . back ribs, c. cooking oil, (8 oz.) can tomato sauce, c. lemon juice and c. firmly packed brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Rub ribs with crushed garlic; cut into serving size pieces. Place the ribs in a large, shallow pan; set aside.
Heat oil in a skillet; add onion and cook until tender, stirring occasionally. Blend in tomato sauce, water, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt and pepper; bring to boiling.
Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
Pour sauce over ribs and marinate 2 hours at room temperature or overnight in refrigerator.
Remove ribs from marinade (reserve for brushing) and put on grill or in a basket broiler 5-inches from coals.
Grill 1 hour or until done, turning and brushing frequently with marinade.
