Crab Shrimp Gumbo
Crab Shrimp Gumbo is an impressive dinner. Made with 6 cups chicken broth, 3 cups canned or fresh tomatoes, 2 tablespoon chopped parsley, 1 cup sliced celery and 4 tablespoons margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Measure broth into 5 quart Dutch oven. Add tomatoes, parsley, and celery.
Heat butter in skillet; add peppers, onion, garlic, and okra.
Cover and saute without stirring until onion is soft but not browned.
Add mixture to broth.
Add all of the ingredients except seafood and tabasco.
Heat to boiling.
Reduce heat and simmer covered 2-1/2 hours.
Stir in tabasco and seafood and cook an additional 15 minutes.
May be served over hot rice.
Serves 10-12.
