Cut zucchini in half lengthwise.

Scoop out seeds and discard. Scoop out as much squash pulp as possible without destroying zucchini shell.

Set aside.

Brown hamburger, onion and green or red pepper; add squash pulp, cover and cook until squash is soft. Season with salt, pepper and garlic salt.

Remove from heat.

Stir in egg, cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup cheese and enough tomato sauce to moisten.

Season squash shells with salt and pepper.

Place in shallow baking pan; spoon filling into squash halves.

Spoon a small amount of tomato sauce on top and pour remaining sauce around halves.

Cover and bake at 350Β° for 40 to 45 minutes.

Remove cover and top with remaining cheese.

Bake an additional 15 minutes or until squash is tender and top is toasted.
