Lentil Pilaf
Lentil Pilaf is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 tbsp. butter or olive oil, 1/2 c. orzo pasta (you can use fine noodles or break thin spaghetti into 1 1/2-inch pieces), 1/2 c. lentils, 2 c. beef stock or chicken stock (bouillon or water) and 1/2 c. long grain rice, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Melt butter over high heat in skillet that has a cover.
Add rice and pasta, stirring to coat with butter (oil).
Saute until rice is brown. Add vegetables.
Saute 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add lentils and stock.
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer gently for about 20 minutes or until lentils are tender. Add seasonings as desired.
