Measure sugar into a separate bowl.

Mix sugar thoroughly into juice mixture.

Add margarine.

Bring to a full, rolling boil over high heat, stirring constantly.

Quickly stir in pectin.

Return to full rolling boil exactly 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat; skin off any foam with metal spoon.

Ladle quickly into clean, hot jars filling to within 1/8-inch of top.

Wipe jar rims and threads. Cover with lids.

Screw bands tightly.

Invert jars 5 minutes, then turn upright.

Check seals after jars are cooled.
