Shrimp Jambalaya
Shrimp Jambalaya is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 tbsp. butter, 1/2 c. diced onion, 1/4 c. diced green pepper, 1/2 c. diced, cooked ham and 1 1/2 lb. raw cleaned shrimp, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat.
Add onion and green pepper; saute until lightly brown.
Add ham and shrimp. Cook just until ham is lightly brown or shrimp are light pink. Drain tomatoes, measuring juice.
Add water to juice to equal 1 1/2 cups.
Add the liquid, tomatoes, salt, thyme, bay leaf, parsley and sugar to mixture in skillet.
Cover and simmer 5 minutes.
Serves 6.
