Shrimp Jambalaya
Shrimp Jambalaya is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 tbsp. cooking oil, 2 tbsp. flour, 2 c. chopped onion, 1/2 c. chopped green peppers and 1 c. chopped celery, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Heating cooking oil, add flour; cook slowly until golden brown, stirring constantly.
Add onions, peppers, garlic and celery and cook slowly until transparent, stirring often.
Add tomato sauce and Creole seasoning.
Let cook until oil rises to top.
Add rice, shrimp and 2 1/2 cups water.
Cook, covered, over low heat until rice is tender.
Add more water if mixture appears too dry. Just before serving, mince parsley and green onion tops and add to mixture.
