Swiss Steak
Swiss Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. cubed steak, 1 large can stewed or crushed tomatoes, 1 1/2 c. flour, 1 c. crisco or oil and 2 tsp. garlic salt or powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

In large skillet, melt Crisco or heat oil on medium temperature.
Cut steak into 4-inch pieces.
Flour both sides and place in heated skillet.
Lightly fry on both sides.
Drain off oil or Crisco.
Mix remaining ingredients in frying pan.
Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, turning meat frequently.
Server over large egg noodles or mashed potatoes.
