Swiss Steak
Swiss Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. round steak, 1 green pepper, cut in strips, 1 c. celery, cut in small pieces, 1 large onion, sliced and 1 large can whole tomatoes, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cut round steak in large chunks and flour.
Brown on both sides in skillet, then place in large casserole dish.
Add tomatoes, salt and pepper, then add the rest of the ingredients. Add water to make sure enough liquid is in dish.
Bake for 2 1/2 to 3 hours at 275Β°, checking periodically to make sure casserole does not cook dry.
You can add more water if necessary.
