Macaroni and Beef Italiano
Macaroni And Beef Italiano is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 c. uncooked macaroni, 3/4 c. chopped onion, 3/4 c. chopped green pepper, 1 lb. lean ground beef and 1 tsp. salad oil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cook and drain macaroni.
In large skillet, saute onion, green pepper and beef in salad oil.
Drain excess fat.
Stir in 1 1/4 cups spaghetti sauce, 1 teaspoon salt, and water. Bring to a boil, cook 5 minutes, stirring often.
Saucepan, melt butter, add flour and gradually blend in
Cook until thick.
Remove from heat and add cheese, teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
Stir until cheese melts.
Pour meat sauce into a 3 quart greased casserole dish or
9 x 2-inch pan. Spoon macaroni on top.
Smother with cheese sauce. Bake at 400Β° for 30 minutes.
Drizzle remaining sauce on top. Serves 6 to 8.
