Cabbage Rolls
Cabbage Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. ground meat (not too lean), 1/2 lb. ground pork (i use pork sausage), 1/2 c. chopped onion, 1/2 c. uncooked rice and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Mix well the first 6 ingredients.
Shape into 12 (3 x 2-inch) loose rolls.
Remove 12 or more leaves from cabbage, enough to cover 12 meat rolls.
Parboil cabbage leaves in a small amount of water until leaves wilt.
Wrap each meat ball in a leaf of cabbage.
Put rolls in a tall baking casserole and cover with tomato juice.
Sprinkle with a little pepper and salt and cover tightly.
Bake at 325° or 350° for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
More tomato juice can be added during baking.
