Cook broccoli in the chicken stock with the onion and butter until soft.

PurΓ©e in food processor or blender (both broccoli and the stock).

Put back into large pot.

Whip eggs and cream together in large bowl.

Continue adding soup and whisking until temperature of soup and egg mixture are the same.

Blend mixture into rest of soup.
