πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³ Instructions

In 2 1/2 quart saucepan; combine sugar, corn syrup, butter, cream of tartar and salt.

Heat to boiling point.

Stirring constantly, boil to hard ball stage.

(Note

I don't ever boil to hard ball stage, but just until it forms a good soft ball in water).

Remove from heat, stir in baking soda; quickly and thoroughly pour at once over popcorn in large pan.

(I use canning kettle).

Stir until all is coated.

Bake in preheated oven (200Β°) for 1 hour; stirring every 15 minutes during the baking.

Turn out at once on waxed paper, spread apart and allow to cool completely. Break apart and store in tight container.

Makes 6 quarts.
