Poisson Croix(Tahitian Dish)
Poisson Croix(Tahitian Dish) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. fresh ahi, aku, fillet of sole and whitefish, cut into nickel size pieces, 1 1/2 c. fresh lime juice, 1 tbsp. kosher salt, 1 c. coconut milk and 1/2 c. green onions, chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Sprinkle the bite size fish with salt.
Place in a glass or "Tupperware" bowl because the lime is very acid.
Marinate the fish in the lime juice until the fish is cooked or "bleached" and no longer pink.
Drain well, pressing the fish a little to pour off the excess lime juice.
Add the green onions, tomatoes and blender mixed coconut milk, stirring gently to mix well.
Serve on a bed of chopped lettuce.
