Turkey Smoked Sausage Rice Skillet
Turkey Smoked Sausage Rice Skillet is an moderately easy dinner. Cut sausage into serving size pieces.
Set aside.
Saute mushrooms, carrots and zucchini in margarine in skillet over medium-high heat for 3 minutes.
Add tomatoes with juice, water, basil, thyme and sausage.
Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 5 minutes.
Mix rice into liquid, cover and remove from heat.
Let stand 5 minutes, stirring after 4 minutes.
Serves 4.
One serving: 3 1/2 protein, 1 vegetable, 1 bread and 1/3 fat.
